One of the most anticipated Memorial Day parade events in New Jersey is taking place in Haddonfield. The annual ceremony hosted by American Legion Post 38 begins Monday morning at 9 a.m. on Veterans Lane.
The event starts with a wreath-laying ceremony honoring former commanders before the Memorial Day parade steps off at 10 a.m. along Kings Highway. The parade lineup includes veterans, borough commissioners, scouts, Civil Air Patrol cadets, and community organizations. Following the parade, a war memorial ceremony will be held at Haddonfield Memorial High School.
Meanwhile, Winslow Township officials and veterans are gathering at the Municipal Complex War Memorial in Braddock for a 10 a.m. Memorial Day service. Cherry Hill will also host its annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday morning, bringing together local veterans organizations and township leaders.
Cherry Hill officials confirmed the ceremony will continue rain or shine. Because of weather forecasts, portions of the event may begin indoors at the Carman Tilelli Community Center before moving to the township war memorial.
Mayor David Fleisher, Township Council members, American Legion Post 372, and Jewish War Veterans representatives are expected to participate. The keynote speaker will be Karen Flaherty-Oxler, director of the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center and a retired rear admiral in the U.S. Navy.

Memorial Day Parade Changes in Chester County
Not every Memorial Day parade will move forward as planned this year. Officials in Honey Brook Borough announced the cancellation of their Memorial Day parade because of permit-related issues.
Despite that cancellation, many neighboring communities are continuing with ceremonies and patriotic events to ensure fallen service members are remembered throughout the Memorial Day weekend.
Montgomery County Memorial Day Parade Plans
The Collegeville-Trappe Memorial Day Parade remains one of Montgomery County’s major holiday traditions. The parade is scheduled for Monday morning with road closures planned along Main Street between Linfield-Trappe Road and First Avenue.
Residents are encouraged to arrive early because traffic restrictions will begin before the Memorial Day parade officially starts.
Delaware County Memorial Day Parade Ceremonies
In Wayne, Radnor Township’s Memorial Day parade begins at 9:45 a.m. Monday. Marchers will travel west along Lancaster Avenue before ending at the Radnor War Memorial.
Officials confirmed that East Lancaster Avenue will be temporarily closed during the Memorial Day parade to accommodate participants and spectators.
Another major Delaware County Memorial Day parade will take place in Media Borough. The parade begins at 10 a.m. outside the Media Theatre and concludes at the Delaware County Courthouse.
Brigadier General Frank J. McGovern IV of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard will serve as grand marshal. Gold Star Mother Judy Faunce is also expected to speak during the memorial ceremony following the parade.
These Memorial Day parade events are expected to draw large crowds as communities continue the tradition of honoring military heroes.
Philadelphia Memorial Day Parade Traditions Continue
Philadelphia’s Bridesburg neighborhood is hosting its 80th annual Memorial Day parade, one of the city’s longest-running Memorial Day traditions.
The United Veterans of Bridesburg will lead the parade beginning at 10 a.m. near the Betsy Ross Bridge. Organizers say the event remains an important community gathering focused on patriotism, remembrance, and support for veterans and military families.
The judging stand for the Memorial Day parade will be located at Richmond and Orthodox streets.
Bucks County Memorial Day Parade Celebrations
Warminster Township’s Memorial Day ceremony starts at 10 a.m. Monday at the township building on Gibson Avenue.
The ceremony includes remarks from elected officials and keynote speaker Jonathan Bittner, an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan and now works as a trauma therapist helping veterans and first responders.
A Memorial Day parade will follow the ceremony at approximately 11 a.m.
Meanwhile, Doylestown is continuing one of America’s oldest Memorial Day parade traditions with its 158th annual parade celebration.
The day begins with a flag-raising ceremony at War Memorial Field before the Memorial Day parade travels through town streets including West Court Street, Main Street, and East Court Street.
Following the parade, veterans groups will gather at Doylestown Cemetery for a memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony honoring fallen service members.
Officials warned that parking restrictions along the Memorial Day parade route will begin early Monday morning, and improperly parked vehicles may be towed.
Free public parking will be available in the Bucks County parking garage during the event.
Jersey Shore Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony Schedule
Several Jersey Shore communities are also holding Memorial Day parade ceremonies and tributes.
In North Wildwood, VFW Post 5941 will host a Memorial Day ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park beginning at 10 a.m.
Wildwood’s annual Memorial Day ceremony starts at 11 a.m. outside American Legion Post 184.
Sea Isle City’s Memorial Day event includes patriotic music, guest speakers, and a floral tribute procession to the beach beginning at Veterans Park.
Ocean City officials announced their Memorial Day ceremony has been moved indoors due to expected weather conditions. The ceremony will now take place at the Ocean City Tabernacle on Wesley Avenue.
Burlington County Memorial Day Ceremony
Willingboro Township’s annual Memorial Day observance is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Millcreek Park.
Dr. Maurice A. Mimms Sr. will serve as keynote speaker during the event honoring fallen military members and their families.
Community leaders are also encouraging Americans everywhere to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. Monday by observing one minute of silence for those who died while serving in the U.S. military.
